We recruit people from all backgrounds, then train and employ them as tour guides. All of our profit goes towards this social objective. We hope that through this work, they can acquire new skills, grow in confidence, value teamwork and have knowledge of their local community.

London City Steps was set up by Loona and Angela in August 2009. Angela promotes business development and runs accredited programmes training guides as part of the AQA Accreditation.

Loona learnt tour guiding after 4 years as an official British Museum tour guide and has guided hundreds of people around London. He also set up the audio guide system at the Genocide Memorial Centre in Kigali, Rwanda and has advised and appeared on Sky TV's "Urban Secrets" and BBC TV's "The Hairy Builder."

Today much of London City Steps has grown due to the input from many people who have worked with us, from developing our website, walks, managing our marketing campaigns and promoting events.

Interns such as Guillaume who created the original website, "I love London and all she has to offer."  There's Helene who helped to  build our relationship with schools; Abdel who at the time was coming from a business background, he looks after the accounting side of the business and keep track of the finances that keep us going.

Last but not least we have the Tour Guides including Seb, "I love guiding because London is the most diverse, exciting city in the world. The best thing about London City Steps is the people we train to become Tour Guides." All our GUIDES are local London residents who have a passion for either architecture, the environment, history, fashion, food or health related pursuits. They are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their subject and are more than happy to share their love of London with you.
